Dublin Sunrise Print
€29.95 – €89.00
Beautiful Print of an original watercolour painting by Sean Curran.
“The Four Courts”.
This building holds it place in Irish history every bit as much as the GPO, Dublin Castle and Kilmainham Gaol and maybe even more so. Taken under control by Edward Daly during the Easter Rising of 1916, it saw some of the most brutal fighting of the Campaign. Later in 1922 during the Irish Civil War it became the scene of where Michael Collins was forced to finally turn his “guns” on comrades he had fought with only 6 years earlier. An act that Collins wrestled with and laid heavy in his mind till his own death later the same year in August 1922.
